About the Teacher

I grew up close by in Hacienda Heights and attended Mesa Robles Elementary from kindergarten to eighth grade. From Mesa Robles I headed off to high school at Wilson High. Next, I attended college at Cal Poly Pomona where I received my bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies. Later, I decided to stay at Cal Poly to get my teaching credential. After teaching for a couple of years I decided to further my education in teaching and attended Concordia University where I received my Masters degree in curriculum.
I have now been teaching at Ybarra for the past nine years. I taught six years of kindergarten and this is my third year in first grade. I truly believe that you have chosen the right school for your child. I am very proud to say that my own child also attends Ybarra Academy. I look forward to continuing my teaching career here at Ybarra for many years to come.
At home I have a very supportive husband and two beautiful children Liliana (six) and Nicholas (two). As a family we enjoy camping and going to Disneyland. At home we enjoy listening to music and dancing. Liliana has been dancing for the past three years in tap and has just added ballet and jazz to our already busy schedule. Nicholas loves watching his sister dance and tries to mirror her every move. Both my parents work in district as the district office. We think RUSD is the best around!
