Principal's Message

I have been serving in the Rowland Unified School District for the past twenty one years.  During these years, I served the district as an Assistant Principal, PYP IB Coordinator, District Instructional Coach, Teacher and worked at various schools throughout the Rowland Unified School District.  I’ve had the opportunity to serve at the secondary and elementary level as an Assistant Principal at both Nogales High School and at Ybarra Academy.  This experience has provided me with a K-12 experience and perspective.  I truly feel that leading a TK-8 is the best of both worlds.  

 

Ybarra Academy of Arts and Technology is an exciting and innovating place for students to learn! As an International Baccalaureate school we offer inquiry-based instruction aimed at educating the whole child. As a school community we not only strive for excellence in learning, but in helping students compete in the 21st century global economy. I am very proud of the students, staff, and parents we have here at Ybarra!  I look forward to bringing my passion and commitment to the staff, students, and families of Ybarra Academy.
